I’ve teamed up with David Larsen from Heavenly Ascents to present a series of videos illustrating his work which discusses the nature, function, doctrines, and ritual of the ancient Temple, in a manner that will be especially of interest to those desiring to understand the connection with modern Latter-day Saint Temples.
Although I’ve posted my own YouTube videos before on my original personal YouTube account, for this I’ve opened up a YouTube channel for Visions of the Kingdom. This will also be presented on David Larsen’s Heavenly Ascents YouTube channel as well.
I have very much enjoyed working with David Larsen on this, and look forward to our further collaboration!

What’s the image around 2:10? Is there a larger version somewhere?

I liked this and I look forward to more.
I am wondering if you could re-mix the audio because it seemed to me that the music was louder than the speaker at several points and it was hard to understand what was being said. Maybe this was just me.
Nice work and look forward to seeing more. Thanks.
Amy: You’re absolutely right. David Larsen pointed it out, too, even before I went live. I was just a little too impatient and excited to get the video out there, that I didn’t spend as much time on audio mixing as I should have. My apologies for that
I’ll eventually remix it and post a new version.
Amy, it’s not just you, I have complained for years and to many people who accompany
singers. Many times the piano or organ will be
louder than the voice of the singer.
SO excited for the next video. Question: What is that image found at 2:30? Where can I find out more about it (and how old it is)? Thanks!
Ben: The mountain image is actually a depiction of Mount Olympus from the PS2 game “God of War 2″. There’s a larger version here: http://bit.ly/aY4UBu
Mount Olympus is very much, an din many ways, the Greek equivalent of the semitic Holy Mountain. There are actually some very interesting similarities between the Greek Pantheon, and that of Canaan/Israel as well. The personalities and specific stories associated with them are different, but the key roles are there.
Jason: It’s “Women at the Grave of Christ and Ascension of Christ”; Ivory; Milan or Rome, c. 400 A.D – see http://bit.ly/cVKYKY
Hi David. I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for working with David L. on a great video. I posted my own commentary about Sacred Space on my blog and included your video in the post. I look forward to seeing your other videos. Thanks again.
